Android Unified Testing Critiera

We've introduced a set of Unified Testing Criteria to help improve the quality of Android applications. It compliments our existing criteria for Java ME apps that has been used sucessfully since 2004.

Java ME Unified Testing Criteria

Updated with new version: April 1 2011.

This is the current version of the Java ME UTC against which apps are tested and need to pass, before they are awarded with the Java Verified Signature.

We've put together some Best Practice Guidelines for developing quality mobile applicatons, irrespective of the platform for which they are being developed.

These guidelines need to be updated regularly, as the industry changes. Please read them, use them and let us know what you think via the blog. We'll then update them and re-issue them on a continual basis.
